Is Your Business Ready to Automate? Here’s What to Begin With!

As you grow your brand new business, you need to decide whether you are going to go with the trends and lean into automation, or whether you want to step back and wait. Automating tasks can be a godsend for most business owners and – let’s be honest – you’re probably already automating things without thinking about it.

With the right systems in place, you can ensure that your company has what it takes to continue to grow and support your customers. You want your growth to be planned and controlled rather than impossible to progress, so the first thing that your business needs is the right systems and software in place. You want to enhance the client experience, grow your customer base and watch the profits roll. From upgrading your accounting software to ensuring that you have better client management systems in place, you need to consider what to automate first to streamline it all. With this in mind, we’ve got a list of things that you should begin with when it comes to automation.

  1. The contact form on the website. Your website is your gateway; all of your visitors will stop here before decision-making happens. You need to ensure that you don’t lose valuable business and by upgrading your contact form to be automated, you will be able to send follow-up emails and contact your customers quicker and easier. Client relationship management systems will ensure that you capture the right leads and automate that sales process to make life easier. There are plenty of options out there, so research is key.
  2. Add a chat box. A website with a chatbox is a website that is going further and faster. It’s the perfect opportunity to reach your customers around the clock, especially for those who need immediate support. You can use the chat box to answer generic questions about your business and website and you can then create even more leads.
  3. Know your lead magnet. If you don’t have a lead magnet already you need to get on that! It’s where you offer something for free that will offer value to your customer base. So, if your clients will benefit from specific information in ‘guide’ form, then offering it for free will be a lead magnet for your business. Guides and ebooks are really popular and your customers will thank you for it! Whatever it is that you have that provides value will help you in the long run.
  4. Automate your reviews. This one is an easy one – for every customer who buys from you and gives you their email address, make a point of automating emails that will ask them to leave you a review. This can go out automatically after the purchase has been made – with a lapsed time such as a week – and you can start gathering reviews and testimonials.

So, should you automate? That’ll really depend on you. If you want to further your business, you need to look at what others in your industry are doing!
