It’s a lot easier working with someone that is already aligned with you than choosing someone and having to mold them into what you need. You’re obviously going to be reading all of the information on one’s resume to see how impressive they are. You’ll check their references and make some notes for the interview(s) ahead. What you should also note is how the resume is kept and organized. It can say an awful lot about a person. If it’s pretty cluttered and all over the place, then they might be that way inclined in general. There are obviously no guarantees that this is the case, but it’s worth considering.

While it may seem a little Orwellian, we can use technology to find out an awful lot about certain individuals in this day and age. Because of this kind of service, you could take your headhunting to a more specific and advanced degree. 

If you aren’t sure about your shortlisted group, then you could also check out their social media profiles. A lot of people act differently online compared to real-life, so it would be interesting to see how your potential candidates conduct themselves in their free time behind a keyboard. 

Look Towards The Hungry And Driven 

If you want to hire the best people, you’ll do a lot worse than those with all of the desire in the world. Effort makes a big difference in this game – you could have all the knowledge and talent, but if you don’t apply yourself, then you’ll get nowhere. Those with the hunger will probably make great staff members for years to come.
