It’s important to utilize search engine optimization if you want to get more people visiting your website. Ideally, you should aim to at least be on the front page of a search result.

Is your website difficult to navigate?

It’s important to make your website easy to navigate. Good web design involves setting up a navigation menu that makes it easy for your customers to find the products they want, or to browse various products so they can pick from your large selection of goods. A search function is also a good idea since it helps your customers find exactly what they need. If you have many different products on offer, such as clothing and accessories, then having a range of filters can make your products easier to discover. For example, you could set filters for the colour of the item, the size or even the brand.

Do you have calls to action?

A call to action is essentially an element on your website that encourages users to take the next step and purchase something. A CTA will depend on the type of business you operate. A CTA needs to be relatively obvious and it should be present on almost every page to encourage your viewers to buy something.

If you’ve yet to have a single purchase but are clearly getting hits on your website, then it may be because your purchasing process has some kind of issues. Test your website and make sure that it’s working correctly.
